The Inaugural World ARDS Day is set to occur on August 12th, the date “Ashbaugh DG” published the first article on Acute respiratory distress in The Lancet, 1967. The purpose will be to discuss the trajectory of progress in ARDS and raise awareness, celebrate achievements, and foster collaborations.

This day represents a unique opportunity for Critical Care Societies worldwide to unite under a common cause that affects us all, directly or indirectly. Our mission for World ARDS Day is to unite against this important cause under one umbrella.
